2025 Women in Construction Professional Development Forum

Our 2025 Women in Construction Professional Development Forum was a Huge Success!

A great inspirational, insightful, impactful, and informative day was had by all delegates during our 2025 Women in Construction Professional Development Forum on Friday, November 7. Thank you to Minister Barry Petten and Nicole Emmett, CCA for graciously greeting attendees of the forum. We appreciate your ongoing support in empowering women in the construction industry. Also, thank you to Stanley Oliver, NLCA Board Labrador Director for leading the land acknowledgement; to Stephen Short, NLCA Board Chair for bringing greetings on behalf of NLCA; to Valerie Penney, for chairing the event and welcoming everyone; and to Rhonda Neary for her innovative vision in creating this event to bring together a community of trailblazers.

This forum was about more than the projects and infrastructure we build — it was about the connections we create, the knowledge we exchange, and the barriers we continue to break together. Throughout the business sessions, delegates explored industry challenges, celebrated achievements, and shared strategies that are driving growth and progress across the sector.

The event provided an inspiring platform to learn, collaborate, and strengthen professional networks with industry leaders and peers who share a commitment to excellence and advancement. Through engaging panel discussions, insightful business sessions, and meaningful conversations, delegates gained valuable perspectives designed to support career growth, leadership development, and continued success within the industry.

On behalf of the NLCA Board of Directors, President/COO, and team, we extend our sincere appreciation to all sponsors, guest speakers, and delegates for your continued support and contributions in making events like this a tremendous success.
