Documents, Records, and Reports & Change Order Management Half-day Workshop

Monday, June 10th , 2019

12:00 noon – 2:30 p.m.

Documents, documents, documents – they are a necessary evil to a construction project’s risk management. Whether bringing a claim or one is brought against you, the records you keep can make or break your claim or defence. When and how are documents created? How are they retained? When are they destroyed? Are your electronic documents admissible? Your answers to these questions can be the difference between success and failure in a court of law.

Standard form contracts are also increasingly used in the construction industry. What can you do to manage risk when you are expected to “just sign”?

Topics:

  • Legal requirements:
  • statutory and regulatory retention policies
