Well-drafted, properly implemented written employment contracts are a key tool to avoiding or resolving disputes during and at the end of employment relationships, ultimately saving the employer time and money. But the law respecting employment contracts, like all areas of the law, evolves. Prudent employers will regularly review and revise their standard form employment contracts to ensure they’re keeping pace with legal developments.
