Online Exams Debut in Fall 2017
This fall Gold Seal will be moving from paper-based exams to online exams. This will shorten the turnaround time for the exam results. This will shorten the turnaround time for exam results from eight weeks to two. Applicants will be required to bring their own computer to challenge the exam. Exams will still be proctored by NLCA.
NLCA Wins Second National Award
On March 25th, 2015, NLCA was presented with the CCA Gold Seal Association Award! The Awards Ceremony took place during the Canadian Construction Association’s 97th Annual Conference, Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort, San Antonio, Texas. This is our 2nd award win.
Gold Seal Student Designation
In an effort to attract young professionals entering the industry, Gold Seal will be launching a Student Designation intended for students in their final year of studies.
Reduced Fees for Gold Seal Interns

Mandatory Construction Industry Ethics Course
All those wishing to obtain their Gold Seal Certification will have to complete the online ethics course PLUS a full day classroom ethics course. Competition of both is mandatory to receive Gold Seal Certification.
New Foreman Designation

The Path to Certification
Gold Seal Certification is a reflection of education and experience in the construction industry. At the same time, Gold Seal Certification recognizes that not everyone in the construction industry has the same level of experience. Depending on your level of industry experience, education & training, and other related management skills, there is a Gold Seal Certification level for you.
To challenge the Gold Seal Certification exam, professional are required to have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience in the designation that they have applied for. If you have less than five (5) years of experience, you have the opportunity to register as a Gold Seal Intern.
